Box Plot

Boxplot is a method for graphically depicting groups of numerical data through their quartiles. It can tell you if your data is symmetrical, how tightly your data is grouped, and if and how your data is skewed. Boxplot also displays outliers which is plotted as individual points.

Form

  • Variable(s)num

Select numerical variable you want to visualize with boxplot. The scale of the variable will be applied as Y-axis.

  • Group byopt

Select a categorical variable if you want to split the variable(s) into certain groups. You can leave this form blank or select "None" of you don't want to group the data.

Example

You can use iris dataset to generate the boxplot of Sepal.Length, Sepal.Width, Petal.Length, and Petal.Width. You can also split the boxplot by Species variable.
